Breaking: 3 kidnapped amidst heavy shooting in Abuja

Abuja — Three individuals were abducted last night at No. 3 Odilichukwu Nwankwo Road, situated near Jeddo Estate, Lubge Airport Road, PulseNets reports.

The occurrence transpired around 11:00 PM last night and persisted for over an hour. According to an eyewitness account, there was sustained gunfire lasting more than 45 minutes before officers from the Nigerian police eventually reached the location.

PulseNets gathered that one of the kidnapped victims was a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). Despite inquiries, PulseNets was unable to obtain information about the identities of the three individuals.

A resident from the estate informed PulseNets that the police arrived tardily, contributing to the unfortunate abduction of the three individuals. “Police came sha, but it was very late, after they have shot for  more than 45 minutes, imagine a serving corps member was kidnapped also, we are now hearing that it’s 3 persons they kidnapped”, he said.

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of the area conveyed to PulseNets that he visited the shooting site in the morning and has initiated an investigation into both the shooting incident and the abductions. He expressed his commitment to ensuring the culprits are apprehended and brought to justice.
