Hon. Bashir Machina, a senatorial candidate for the Yobe North All Progressives Congress, APC, has stated he has no regrets about upholding the mandate granted to him by the region’s voters during the party’s primary election.
Speaking to hundreds of followers in the Karasuwa and Yusufari local government regions, Machina made this statement through his media assistant Husaini Mohammed Isa.
“I consider this a rare privilege to serve people of Yobe North and the greatest appreciation would be to provide quality service and purposeful leadership that would elevate the developmental trajectory of our dear senatorial district”, he said.
He continued by claiming he does not hold resentment against those who conspired against him and that he has moved on from everything that has happened, encouraging his followers to do the same.
“I have forgiven those who ganged up against me, what the APC in the State needs now is for all stakeholders to come together for the sake of the Party”, Machina said.
The senatorial candidate promised the emir of Yusufari while they were at his palace that he would never let his people down under any circumstances.
Recall that Machina had won legal battles against Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, the Senate’s current president, for the Yobe North Senatorial ticket.
