As Fayose and others ignore Atiku, PDP accuses members, APC of sabotaging the Ekiti rally

INEC ‘rigged’ Atiku out in presidential election, witnesses tells election petition court

The All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are allegedly conspiring to thwart the PDP’s presidential rally in Ekiti State.

The APC and some PDP members who are opposed to the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, allegedly prevented all commercial vehicles from operating in the State during the rally, according to Senator Dino Melaye, the PDP Presidential Campaign Management Committee’s spokesperson and director of public affairs.

He wrote, “As APC and some PDP members ‘collabo’ to stop all commercial vehicles from operating in Ekiti today, in an effort to frustrate our rally, people defied all challenges and walked kilometers to the Ekiti pavilion. Atiku magic”.

PULSENETS has learned that commercial vehicles and motorcycles were off the roads in the State capital on Tuesday, stranding inter-state and intra-state travellers.

Meanwhile, some party stakeholders in Ekiti State were conspicuously absent from the presidential rally, including former governor Ayodele Fayose, acting PDP State Chairman Lanre Omolase, former governorship candidate Bisi Kolawole, seven of the nine PDP National Assembly candidates, and 20 of 26 House of Assembly candidates.
