Ghanaian side chick sues her “sugar daddy” and seeks a car, cash, and two years’ rent

 Ghanaian side chick sues her

A Ghanaian side chick who says the bank manager was her lover has been sued for allegedly breaking a promise to look after her.

Ernest Kwasi Nimako, the First Atlantic Bank’s director of finance, was hauled before the Accra High Court by Deborah Seyram Adablah, and he is scheduled to appear before Friday, January 27, 2023.

Deborah claims in a lawsuit filed on January 23, 2023 that her boss and “sugar daddy” promised to purchase her a car, pay for her housing for three years, give her a GH3,000 monthly stipend, marry her after divorcing his wife, and give her a lump amount to launch a company.

Deborah says in a writ of summons and statement of claims that the “sugar daddy” not only purchased the car but also registered it in his name. The document has subsequently gone viral on social media.

After roughly a year of using the Honda Civic, which is valued GH$120,000, he later refused to allow her to use it. He also only covered one year’s worth of rent.

The complainant, whose national service time expired in July 2021, admits to dating the married guy and argues that if she didn’t give in to the relationship, her job security would be in jeopardy.

Deborah has also charged the defendant with mistreatment, exploitation, sexual harassment, abuse, and harming her reputation.

She goes on to say that she declined a permanent position after completing her national service since the boss had promised to make her life pleasant.

Deborah stated that her employer had further pledged to get rid of his wife and be married to her since their marriage was irreparably damaged.

However, their relationship took a hit in July 2022 when the first defendant made the decision to cease giving her the perks he had promised her, including paying her rent.

This forced her to file a contract breach lawsuit against her former boss.

In light of this, the plaintiff is asking the court to issue an order directing the defendant to keep all of his commitments, including the payment of a lump amount to assist her in starting a company so that she may support herself. Below is a list of her demands:

  • Put her name on the vehicle’s title.
  • Repairs will cost 10,000GH.
  • Pays a one-time sum of money to help her launch a business.
  • Rent for the next two years is paid.
  • Pays all medical costs incurred as a result of side effects, as well as the unpaid arrears of her monthly stipend from July 2022 to the day of judgement.
  • General damages in her favour.
  • Any other relief(s), including court costs, the court deems warranted.
  • The First Atlantic Bank, which was included in the lawsuit, has been charged with permitting top officials to have relationships with uncooperative employees while utilising the women as hooks to attract consumers for the business.
