The APC Legal Team and a few prominent attorneys in the Buhari Administration met to strategize how to best position the governing party as the elections in February and March 2023 approach. The meeting was presided over by Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
The two ministers who are Senior Advocates of Nigeria, Mr. Babatunde Fashola and Mr. Festus Keyamo, joined the legal brainstorming session that followed the weekly FEC meeting at the Presidential Villa. Among the other party and government representatives present at the Villa today were Mr. Babatunde Ogala, SAN, and Mr. Ahmed El-Marzuk, the current APC National Legal Adviser.
The guests at the Vice President’s wing of the Presidential Villa were visible to State House reporters, but none of them spoke to the media.
However, a trustworthy source claimed that the Vice President and the APC legal team discussed planning and assessing the party’s election preparations.
APC and other major parties are fielding candidates for more than 1400 elective posts in the upcoming general elections, which will take place later this month across the nation.
