Mock Accreditation: Voter with deformed face rejected by BVAS in Anambra

In Anambra state, the eagerly anticipated INEC Mock Accreditation Exercise has begun.

Early on Saturday morning, INEC officials, including the state’s resident electoral commissioner, Dr. Queen Agwu, could be seen getting ready for the election.

The PU 001, located in the Demonstration Primary School Ward, Agu Awka, was Dr. Agwu’s initial point of contact.

As the BVAS was operating at its peak, some voters were getting certified in the Ward.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner also went to the Amawbia 1, NYSC Pavilion, where it was found that, as of 10:30AM, only a small number of voters had shown up for the accreditation.

A tense incident was also about to unfold there because one male voter’s thumbprints and face couldn’t be read by the BVAS.

The man had been normal when he registered for his PVC, but after that, he had been in an accident that left his face and thumbs disfigured.

Dr. Agwu pledged to report the event to the Commission’s headquarters right after the incident.
