The Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission’s Executive Secretary Saratu Umar has been fired by President Muhammadu Buhari, putting an end to a conflict that pitted the ousted leader against her senior staff and interfered with the commission’s operations.
The resignation was made public on Thursday by presidential spokeswoman Femi Adesina. He did not explain why, but PREMIUM TIMES had been the only newspaper to cover accusations of incompetence and poor management against Ms. Umar.
Additionally, PulseNets is aware that she recently declined an invitation to a ministerial investigation panel.
