Allow Opu-Nembe to breath, Bayelsa LP Candidate, Udengs warns failed politicians

Bayelsa Guber: LP candidate, Udengs asks tribunal to declare him winner

The Udengs Eradiri Governorship Campaign Organisation has condemned in strong terms the ongoing violence in Opu-Nembe, Nembe Local Government Area, Bayelsa State saying rejected politicians must allow peace in the area ahead of the election.

The organisation in a statement personally signed by Engr. Udengs Eradiri, who is the Labour Party Governorship Candidate for November 11 election, called on all warring parties to sheathe their swords and embrace peace ahead of the poll.

Eradiri, a former President, Ijaw Youths Council (IYC) Worldwide, said it is no longer acceptable for rejected politicians to turn Opu-Nembe into a killing field anytime a governorship election approaches in the state.

He called on such political leaders to check their ambitions and stop sacrificing lives of innocent youths in the area in their supremacy battle to control the people against their will.

Eradiri said: “Enough is enough. This pattern of turning Opu-Nembe into a war zone where youths are killed and maimed at every governorship election calendar is devilish and unacceptable.

“We are calling on all warring parties to sheathe their swords and stop shedding the blood of their brothers to appease their political leaders. For how long Opu-Nembe will you continue to allow the shedding of your blood on the altar of politics? No ambition of any politician is worth your blood. Rejected politicians should allow Opu-Nembe to breath”.
