Borno Flood: Israel Donates Portable Water Purifying Machines to Aid Victims
Borno Flood — PulseNets has learnt that the Embassy of Israel in Nigeria has made a significant contribution to assist flood victims in Borno State by donating 10 portable industrial water-purifying machines. The donation was made under the aegis of MASHAV, Israel’s humanitarian aid program and Centre for International Cooperation, aimed at addressing global challenges.

Speaking at the event in Abuja on Friday, Israel’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Michael Freeman, told PulseNets that the donation was intended to provide much-needed aid to those affected by the floods. Mr. Freeman, who also serves as Israel’s permanent representative to ECOWAS, emphasized the deep concern of the Israeli people and government over the devastating effects of natural disasters.

“As a close friend of Nigeria, Israel seeks to provide aid to those who need it the most,” Freeman spoke to PulseNets. He further explained that the donated machines leverage Israeli technology to purify contaminated water, eliminate diseases, and provide clean drinking water. These portable machines require no external power source, which makes them particularly valuable for displaced populations facing diseases such as cholera.

Freeman expressed confidence in the impact of the donation, stating, “We are confident that this donation can make a real difference to those in need.” He also noted that Israel had prepared to celebrate the Jewish New Year and assured continued solidarity with Nigeria. “We look forward to working together on many projects for the benefit of both our people,” Freeman reported.
