PulseNets learned that the Executive Chairman of Nembe Local Government Council, Hon. David Alagoa, awarded a ₦50,000 scholarship to Master Isaac Godstime, a pupil at Community Primary School 1, Nembe, during today’s Prosperity Walk and Games.
Master Isaac, who was randomly chosen to help conduct the weekly raffle draw at the Prosperity Walk, might have thought he was in a dream when fortune smiled on him. After the exercise, Hon. Alagoa made the unexpected scholarship declaration, leaving the young boy visibly stunned. The Primary 4 pupil stood in awe as loud cheers and jubilation erupted from the crowd, expressing their gratitude to the Council Chief Executive.
Speaking earlier, Hon. Alagoa emphasized the significance of the Prosperity Walk, which has now incorporated sports activities in Nembe. He explained that the initiative aims to strengthen peace, love, and unity among the people of Nembe. Hon. Alagoa further lauded the Prosperity Walk initiative, introduced by His Excellency Senator Douye Diri, the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State.
