Every civil servant in Ebonyi State would be receiving N150,000 as Christmas bonus, courtesy of an approval by the governor, Francis Nwifuru.
A statement posted by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Monday Uzor, on Facebook said that workers in the state will receive their bonuses before Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
According to Uzor, the payment of the workers’ bonuses would hit their account before 1 pm on the said date.
He said, “Every Worker in Ebonyi State service will receive ₦150,000 as a Christmas Bonus before 1 pm on Tuesday… Gov. Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.
Recall that the Ebonyi state governor had earlier approved the payment of N75,000 as minimum wage for workers in the state.

A national minimum wage of N70,000 had been approved by the Federal Government after an agreement was reached with the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress.
While some states have commenced implementation and payment of the new wage, others are yet to enough align with the directive of the Federal Government on the new wage.
