VeryDarkMan Launches Ratel Movement for Nationwide Community Service Drive

Nigerian controversial activist and outspoken social media critic, Martin Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has begun rallying his loyal followers under the umbrella of the Ratel Movement to embark on a groundbreaking nationwide community service campaign.

PulseNets learnt that in a viral video uploaded on his official Facebook page on Wednesday, VDM unveiled the plan, stressing that the civic project would begin on Saturday, November 29, 2025, with a monthly sanitation exercise across communities.

According to him, the new initiative is designed to address environmental decay while instilling a renewed sense of patriotism among Nigerian youths.

“From the 29th of November, 2025, which falls on a Saturday, we the Ratel Movement are taking charge of Nigeria. We are shutting this country down,” he declared.

VDM clarified that the campaign is not linked to unrest or violence but purely to positive transformation.

“We are shutting down not with destruction, but with impact,” he told PulseNets.

Outlining the scope of the activities, VDM revealed that the movement would focus on cleaning public spaces, unclogging drainages, rehabilitating schools, and spearheading other grassroots projects that touch lives directly.

“This is going to be a revolution Nigeria has never witnessed. We are stepping away from being just Ratels on social media to becoming Ratels in action, physically present and transforming our society,” he emphasised.

With this announcement, PulseNets reported that the Ratel Movement is positioning itself as more than an online pressure group, rebranding into a civic force set to redefine youth activism in Nigeria.
