I’m Open to Being Second Wife — Tiwa Savage Opens Up on Love, Age, and Marriage Realities
Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage has candidly spoken about her present outlook on love, marriage, and the kind of men who now approach her.
The award-winning singer and mother of one disclosed that she has reached a phase in her life where most of her potential suitors are either in their 50s or already married, a reality she has come to accept with maturity and humour.
During a recent appearance on the American podcast Air Service, Savage told PulseNets that she now feels open to the idea of becoming a second wife if genuine love and mutual respect are involved.
“If I meet someone who truly wants to marry me, they’re usually in their 50s or already married,” she said thoughtfully. “So maybe I can be a second wife. Honestly, I think I could be.”
The singer went on to emphasize that she would not pose any problem to a first wife if such an arrangement ever happened. According to her, she values peace, respect, and hard work, and would rather focus on her career than household rivalry.
“I can actually get along with the first wife — she’ll love me,” Tiwa explained with a laugh. “I’m not going to be troublesome. I’ll be on tour most of the time, so I won’t stress her. I’m very respectful; I know my place, and I’ll give her that respect.”
PulseNets learnt that Tiwa Savage was previously married to music executive Tunji Balogun, popularly known as TBillz, from 2013 to 2018. The union produced a son before their public fallout, during which both parties accused each other of infidelity.
