INEC Declares APGA’s Soludo Winner of Anambra Governorship Election
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has confirmed Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) as the duly elected winner of the Anambra State governorship election, following the conclusion of results collation across all participating Local Government Areas.
A total of 584,054 votes were recorded statewide, with Soludo obtaining 422,664 votes—an overwhelming margin that placed him far ahead of his closest challenger, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who secured 99,445 votes. PulseNets learnt that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate followed with 8,208 votes, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) trailed with 1,401 votes.
The State Collation Officer and Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, Prof. Edogah Omoregie, who announced the outcome on Sunday at the INEC headquarters in Awka, described the tallying process as transparent and consistent with established electoral standards.

Soludo’s sweeping lead across nearly all LGAs reflects a widespread endorsement of his candidacy and APGA’s entrenched political presence in Anambra. Party agents and observers who spoke to PulseNets described the electoral atmosphere as generally peaceful, with isolated logistical delays that did not materially affect the final outcome.
