IGP Orders Nationwide Submission of Police Nominal Roll and Bank Details with April 9 Deadline
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Olatunji Disu, has issued a directive mandating all police formations and departments nationwide to forward the full nominal roll and bank account details of officers and rank-and-file personnel under their command.
The directive, contained in a police signal dated March 30, 2026, and obtained by PulseNets from the IGP Secretariat in Abuja, was marked “M/IMMEDIATE” and addressed to all Assistant Inspectors-General of Police, Commissioners of Police across the states, as well as heads of specialised police units nationwide.
According to the message, all formations are required to compile and submit a comprehensive nominal roll of officers, including inspectors and rank-and-file personnel currently serving within their commands. The directive also requires that the bank account details of each officer be included in the submission.
PulseNets learned that the Inspector-General directed that the information must be submitted in both hard and soft copies, with the electronic version provided in an editable Microsoft Excel format and transmitted through the official police email channel.
The deadline for submission has been fixed for Thursday, April 9, 2026.

The directive emphasised that the request is of “utmost urgency” and must be treated with the highest level of priority, warning that strict compliance is expected without further reminders.
PulseNets reported that the signal, referenced CB: 4001/IGP.SEC/ABJ/VOL.124/4, was circulated across multiple formations, including police colleges, training institutions, tactical units, and specialised departments such as Border Patrol, Maritime Police, Counter-Terrorism units, Interpol, the Police Airwing, and Mobile Police (MOPOL) formations.
