ADC Begins Sale of Nomination Forms Ahead of 2026 Congresses, Sets March 27 Deadline

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has formally unveiled the commencement of sales for its Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms ahead of its ward, local government, state congresses, and national convention.

Details of the development were contained in a public notice obtained by PulseNets from the party’s national headquarters in Abuja. The notice was signed by Chinedu Idigo, the party’s National Organizing Secretary.

The party, PulseNets learnt, called on interested members seeking elective offices within its internal structure to obtain the relevant forms in preparation for the forthcoming exercises.

According to the notice, the Expression of Interest Form has been fixed at N2,000, while nomination fees differ depending on the office being contested.

At the ward level, PulseNets reported that chairmanship forms are priced at N10,000, secretary positions at N5,000, while other offices attract a fee of N3,000 each.

For local government contests, aspirants for the chairmanship position are required to pay N40,000, while secretary positions cost N30,000, and other offices N10,000 each.

At the state level, PulseNets obtained that the chairmanship form is pegged at N500,000, the secretary position at N300,000, while other offices are set at N50,000 each.

The party also fixed the nomination fee for delegates to the national convention at N10,000 per aspirant, with each local government area entitled to produce one delegate.

ADC further stated that all aspirants must secure nominators, who are expected to pay a non-refundable fee of N500 each. PulseNets learnt that the number of nominators required varies depending on the position, ranging from five for certain ward offices to as many as 50 for the state chairmanship position, including geographical spread requirements in some cases.

“All payments, including Expression of Interest, Nomination, Nominators’ fees, and outstanding membership dues, must be made via bank transfer to the party’s designated account,” the notice stated, adding that proof of payment must be presented during form collection.

PulseNets gathered that the forms are to be obtained from the party’s national secretariat or designated state offices through approved representatives.
