ADC Presents Oritsemami Obioru as Delta South Senatorial Hopeful for 2027
The Delta State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially presented Oritsemami Obioru as its aspirant for the Delta South Senatorial race in the 2027 general elections, PulseNets has learnt.
Obioru reaffirmed his intention during a solidarity visit to the Delta State ADC Chairman, Austine Okolie, at the party’s secretariat in Asaba.
Speaking to PulseNets shortly after the meeting, Obioru explained that the visit was a demonstration of his loyalty to the ADC and his readiness to work hand-in-hand with the leadership to build what he called a “united and progressive Delta South.”
“Our discussions focused on my determination to contest for the Delta South Senate seat in 2027. We also looked at how to strengthen party structures, deepen collaboration among members, mobilize across the eight local governments in Delta South, and create opportunities for women and youths to play active roles in politics. My campaign will be strictly issue-based, tackling critical challenges like environmental degradation, unemployment, and underdevelopment,” Obioru told PulseNets.
Also present at the meeting was the ADC Warri South Local Government Chairman, Excel Otonne Ololo, who pledged his full support. He described Obioru as a “trusted and illustrious son of the soil whose aspiration embodies hope, inclusivity, and the promise of true representation.”
Ololo further reported that Obioru’s proposed policies, built around people-centred development, could accelerate socio-economic growth and improve infrastructure in Delta South, thereby uplifting the living standards of its residents.
In his remarks, State Chairman Okolie commended Obioru’s dedication to the party’s growth and praised his grassroots touch and policy depth.
“He represents the kind of vibrant leadership the ADC envisions. His commitment to accountability, inclusiveness, and transformational governance makes him a key figure in strengthening our party’s vision for Delta State,” Okolie spoke to PulseNets.
