ADC Uploads Atiku, Amaechi’s Names to INEC Nomination Portal for 2027 Presidential Election

A significant milestone has been recorded in the preparations for the 2027 general election as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) successfully uploaded the names of its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, Rotimi Amaechi, to the nomination portal of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

PulseNets learnt that the development was announced by the National Publicity Secretary of the ADC, Bolaji Abdullahi, who described the move as another important step in the party’s preparations ahead of the 2027 polls.

In a post shared on his Facebook page and obtained by PulseNets, Abdullahi said the party remains committed to presenting Nigerians with a credible alternative focused on competence, unity, and national renewal.

He wrote:

“We are pleased to announce that we have successfully uploaded the names and particulars of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar (GCON), and our Vice Presidential Candidate, Rt Hon Chibuike R Amaechi (CON), to the nomination portal of INEC Nigeria.

“This marks another important step in our preparations for the 2027 general election and our commitment to offer Nigerians a credible alternative built on competence, unity, and national renewal.”

PulseNets reported that Atiku, a former Vice President of Nigeria, recently emerged as the ADC’s presidential candidate shortly after joining the party.

During the party’s presidential primary, Atiku secured victory over former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi, while Mohammed Hayatu-Deen finished third.

Following the conclusion of the primary election, the ADC officially announced Amaechi as Atiku’s running mate for the 2027 presidential election.
