Bayelsa Philanthropist, Gifted Natus Announces Return to Active Politics with Renewed Purpose
Bayelsa-born philanthropist and humanitarian, Gifted Natus, has officially announced his return to active politics, signaling a major re-entry into the political landscape after nearly a year-long break.
PulseNets learnt that Natus, who in November 2024 publicly declared his temporary withdrawal from active politics to focus on strengthening the Gifted Natus Foundation and the GP Global Headquarters, has now reignited his political drive with what he described as a “renewed purpose and shared vision.”
In a statement obtained by PulseNets, the Bayelsa philanthropist said his period of withdrawal was a time of deep reflection, strategic service, and impact-driven humanitarian work, which helped him reaffirm his lifelong commitment to community development and youth empowerment.
“That period of reflection and service has been both rewarding and impactful,” Natus said. “It allowed me to deepen my passion for humanitarian service and reimagine new ways to contribute meaning fully to national development.”
According to him, his decision to return to politics came after “careful reconsideration and extensive consultations with stakeholders, family, and supporters across different levels.”
“My renewed participation in politics is driven by a stronger sense of purpose — to contribute meaningfully to governance and to keep promoting people-oriented leadership that empowers citizens and strengthens our society,” he told PulseNets.
While Natus did not immediately disclose his next political platform, he revealed that details of his new political affiliation will be announced in the coming days.
PulseNets reported that supporters across Bayelsa and beyond have recently intensified calls for his political comeback, citing his influence in humanitarian work, youth mobilization, and community development.
In his closing remarks, Natus extended heartfelt appreciation to his supporters and allies for standing by him during his period of introspection.
