Blessing Okoro, widely known as Blessing CEO, has broken her silence over mounting speculation about her health status and alleged fundraising claims, offering clarification on her reported cancer diagnosis.
Speaking during an exclusive appearance on the online platform Young and Healthy Bros, monitored by PulseNets, she stated that widespread misunderstanding contributed significantly to the circulating narrative about her condition.
“I don’t have stage 4 cancer. That was a miscommunication,” she said.
PulseNets learnt that the relationship expert recently received her biopsy results, which initially suggested a non-cancerous lump before subsequent medical evaluations indicated otherwise.
“I just received my biopsy results. Initially, the lump was thought to be non-cancerous, but later tests revealed it was cancerous. I haven’t started chemotherapy yet, and I’m still awaiting further tests to determine the exact stage.”
Addressing the controversy surrounding public donations, Blessing clarified the actual amount raised, dismissing exaggerated figures circulating online. PulseNets reported that she insisted the financial support received so far remains modest.
“The money raised is not hundreds of millions as some people think. It’s just 13 million naira,” she noted.
She further maintained that she would not disclose her medical documents publicly, emphasizing her right to privacy despite public scrutiny. PulseNets learnt that she expressed no obligation to justify her health journey beyond necessary updates.
“I will not post my results online because it’s personal, and I don’t owe anyone an apology. I’m just trying to communicate what the doctors have told me.”
Reaffirming her position, Blessing stressed her intention to proceed cautiously with treatment decisions while relying strictly on professional medical advice. PulseNets obtained that her focus remains on understanding her diagnosis fully before taking further steps.
“I just want to be sure about what I am doing. I’m not a doctor; I’m only sharing the updates I receive from them,” she added.
