The Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC, office in Owerri, Imo State, has been stormed by several unnamed gunmen.
At least three suspects were killed as a result of the incident, which happened on Monday morning, according to PulseNets.
The Nigeria Police Force officers and other security personnel in the vicinity are said to have resisted the gunmen who attacked the facility in huge numbers.
Three of the criminals were reportedly slain, while one was apprehended alive, according to reports.
Imo State Police Public Relations Officer Michael Abattam promised to respond when PulseNets contacted him.
