The 2023 budget will be presented to the National Assembly’s joint session on Friday by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The letter about the budget presentation was written by the President and was read in full on Tuesday by Dr. Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, President of the Senate.
The N19.76 trillion budget would be the last one that Buhari presents before his term ends on May 19, 2023.
As opposed to prior worries that there might not be enough room for the session due to the ongoing reconstruction, Lawan also stated that Mr. President would personally come to address the joint session of the lawmakers.
Security in and around the National Assembly is anticipated to be reinforced in advance of Friday’s budget session.
