Champions League: Real Madrid alive, we can beat any team – Benzema warns

LaLiga: Real Madrid confirms Benzema is leaving

Real Madrid striker, Karim Benzema, has warned other teams that the Los Blancos are alive and can beat any side.

Benzema issued the warning after leading Real Madrid to beat Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 in the Champions League round of 16 second-leg tie on Wednesday.

The France international, who scored a hat-trick as Real Madrid defeated PSG at the Santiago Bernabeu, said Carlo Ancelotti’s men will now take every game in the Champions League as a final.

Speaking at his post-match conference after the game, Benzema said, “It was a really tough game, but we deserve to go through tonight. We lost the first leg, but with these fans, they have given everything here until the end to win.

“We know they like to have the ball. We had chances and we scored on the counter. I think our mental strength came to the fore in the end. With that sort of pressure we put on teams, we can beat anyone. The fans have also helped us tonight.

“Every game is a final for us. Real Madrid is alive.”
