A court in Lagos has sentenced Femi Olaleye, managing director of Optimal Cancer Care Foundation, to life imprisonment for raping his wife’s niece.
PulseNets reports that the judgement was delivered on Tuesday by Rahman Oshodi, the judge at the special offences and domestic violence court in Lagos.
The judge convicted Olaleye on a two-count charge of defilement of a 16-year minor and sexual assault by penetration.
According to Justice Oshodi, evidences showed he raped the victim and forced her to suck his manhood.
He held that the evidence of the victim and the doctor who examined her was consistent. The judge added that Olaleye’s confessional statement and exchange of WhatsApp and email messages with his wife were enough evidence against him.
