Dagogo to remain in police custody as court adjourns trial to May 23

Rivers PDP: Dagogo pleads not guilty, returned to hospital

A Magistrate Court sitting in Port Harcourt has adjourned till May 23, 2022 for the commencement of the trial of governorship aspirant of the People’s Democratic party in Rivers State, Farah Dagogo.

The member of the House of Representatives is facing 2 counts of conspiracy and cultism.

When the matter was mentioned in court on Monday, Prosecution Counsel, Chidi Ekeh informed the court that fresh charges have been filed against the defendant at the Rivers state High court.

Dagogo was however not produced in court and no reason was given for his absence.

The defence counsel Femi Adegbite applied for bail for his client which was not opposed by prosecution but the Chief Magistrate Amadi Nna adjourned the matter to May 23 for mention.

PulseNets had reported how Dagogo was taken to the hospital last week by the police after he complained of stomach and chest complications.
