“Don’t encourage this match!” exclaimed Maye Musk in a tweet directed at podcaster and AI researcher Lex Fridman on Thursday, expressing her disapproval with two angry-face emojis.

Fridman had suggested his support for a potential jiu-jitsu match between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg. Elon Musk enthusiastically responded to Fridman’s idea, declaring, “Let’s go full MMA.”

However, Maye Musk has spent the past day actively trying to prevent the showdown from materializing.

“Actually, I canceled the fight. I haven’t told them yet. But I will continue to say the fight is canceled, just in case,” she tweeted.

She also reached out to her son on Friday, urging him to abandon the notion after he proposed the fight taking place at the UFC’s Octagon in Las Vegas.

“Fight with words only. From the comfort of armchairs. Four feet apart. The funniest person wins,” she wrote.

No specific date has been set for the fight, as Elon Musk initiated the idea, Zuckerberg took the bait, and it may ultimately amount to nothing more than billionaire banter on Twitter.

Nevertheless, betting odds for the fight are already emerging, and some Twitter users have taken it upon themselves to create posters for the anticipated bout. Musk appears fired up about the prospect, even though he would be up against a younger and more physically fit Zuckerberg, who has been training in mixed martial arts for over a year.
