EPL: Conte in shock return to Juventus

Antonio Conte, the manager of Tottenham Hotspur, is being connected to a stunning return to Juventus to take over for Max Allegri, who is currently under criticism.

Following a shocking 1-0 loss to the bottom team Monza last weekend, Allegri is under intense pressure in Turin.

Juve also dropped both of their inaugural Champions League group stage contests.

With two victories from their opening seven games, they are now ranked ninth in Serie A.

Due to the club’s mediocre start to the season, rumors have claimed that Allegri, who has received criticism from fans, may be replaced.

Conte is thought to be “open” to returning to Juventus if Allegri loses his job, according to publications in Italy.

Conte has not yet agreed to a contract extension with the Premier League team past the summer of 2019.

Spurs remain undefeated in the Premier League thus far this year, and they are only one point behind league-leading Arsenal.

Though the 53-year-old is thought to be Juventus director Pavel Nedved’s top option to succeed Allegri, he has previously stated that he has “unfinished work” in Turin.

Between 2011 and 2014, Conte led Juventus and won three Serie A championships, but he abruptly split with club president Andrea Agnelli because he felt undersupported in the transfer market.
