Ex-Niger Delta Agitators Slam Brakes on Impeachment Plan Against Senate President Akpabio

Ex-Niger Delta agitators has rejected the proposed impeachment of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, describing it as a “malicious attempt to undermine the interests of Southern Nigeria”.

At a press conference yesterday, the group demanded the immediate establishment of the South-South Development Commission, citing the need for fairness and equal representation in the country’s political landscape.

The group’s leaders emphasized that Southern Nigeria will complete its eight years in the Senate and Presidency, warning against any attempts to frustrate this goal.

In a statement, the group declared: “We say no to any attempts aimed at frustrating Southern Presidency. We announce the constitution of the SOUTHERN NIGERIAN MOVEMENT, and we vehemently warn against any attempt to hijack powers from Southern Nigeria within these 8-years term, as there will be dire consequences.”
