Fubara Swears In Five Special Advisers, Reaffirms Resolve to Strengthen Governance in Rivers State
Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has inaugurated five newly appointed Special Advisers, underscoring his administration’s determination to press ahead decisively and reclaim lost momentum in governance, PulseNets learnt.
The swearing-in ceremony, which took place on Friday at the Government House in Port Harcourt, was used by the governor to reiterate that his administration possesses the resilience and clarity of purpose required to deliver fully on its electoral mandate, according to information obtained by PulseNets.
Speaking during the event, Fubara explained that the appointments were strategically made to further consolidate governance structures and enhance the effective coordination of government activities.
The governor noted that the newly sworn-in advisers were not unfamiliar with public service, stressing that their previous exposure to government operations positioned them to immediately align with the vision, philosophy, and priorities of his administration.
He further explained that their understanding of the system would help eliminate bureaucratic delays, particularly in performance assessment, while ensuring that policy targets and deliverables are achieved without unnecessary setbacks.
Fubara, however, cautioned the appointees to see their new roles strictly as a call to service, rather than a ceremonial privilege, urging them to discharge their duties with discipline, loyalty, and a deep sense of responsibility.
“You have all distinguished yourselves in previous public assignments, and I am confident that you will bring the same level of commitment and excellence into these new responsibilities,” the governor said.
