The Lagos State Police Command emphasizes a commitment to thorough investigation in the death of popular singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad, and assures the public it will not rely on speculation.
Responding to pressure from the human rights group Take It Back Movement, urging a swift conclusion to the case, police spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the autopsy report remains unavailable.
The Take It Back Movement expressed concern that delays could expose Mohbad’s wife and child to online harassment and physical threats, similar to what the singer allegedly faced before his death.
Hundeyin clarified, “The investigation hinges on the pathologist’s report. Until it arrives, we cannot reach any conclusions, nor will we engage in guesswork.”
