Mr Eazi Declares Presidential Ambition, Says Africa Needs Young and Forward-Thinking Leaders
The ‘Skin Tight’ hitmaker, who recently tied the knot with Temi Otedola, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, made the revelation in a Snapchat video broadcast obtained by PulseNets.
According to the singer, he has been quietly considering running for the presidency of an African country, a thought he now feels ready to share publicly.
“I’ve been thinking about it for some time now,” he said. “Some of you might be from an African country looking for a leader — not one chasing money or power, but someone forward-thinking, young, and active enough to move your nation forward. So yes, I’m officially putting myself forward for the presidency.”
Mr Eazi, though Nigerian by birth, maintains a deep connection with Ghana, where he pursued his studies and kick-started his music career. He has often told PulseNets that Ghana shaped his unique Banku music sound — a fusion of Nigerian rhythms and Ghanaian influences.
PulseNets reported that in recent years, several Nigerian entertainers have transitioned into politics, securing both elective and appointive positions.

Mr Eazi’s declaration adds a new layer to the growing intersection between music, influence, and governance on the African continent.
