Delay in Payment of June Monthly Allowance to Corps Members Addressed by NYSC Management
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has responded to concerns raised by Corps Members regarding the delay in the payment of their monthly allowance for June 2023.
In an official statement released by the NYSC Management, it was clarified that all necessary arrangements for the payment of Corps Members’ allowance were completed on the 27th of June, 2023. The remittances were promptly made to various banks on the same day. However, the delay in receiving the allowance is currently attributed to the processing of funds by the individual banks, which are yet to credit the Corps Members’ accounts.
The NYSC Management is actively engaged in ongoing discussions with the banks to expedite the payment of the June allowance to Corps Members, aiming to resolve the delay as soon as possible.
In light of the situation, the NYSC urges all Corps Members to remain calm, law-abiding, and dedicated to their national service duties. The scheme assures Corps Members that issues pertaining to their welfare will continue to be treated with the utmost priority.
The NYSC Management expresses appreciation for the patience and understanding of Corps Members during this period of delay.
