Port Harcourt Refinery to Sell Petrol at ₦1,030 Per Litre, PETROAN Confirms
PulseNets has learnt that the Petroleum Products Retail Outlet Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) announced on Thursday night that the Port Harcourt Refinery will sell petrol at ₦1,030 per litre. This confirmation aligns with claims by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) that the refinery is now operational.
Speaking to PulseNets, PETROAN spokesperson Joseph Obele disclosed that the NNPCL officially communicated the premium motor spirit (PMS) pricing for the refurbished Port Harcourt Refinery. He noted:
“NNPC Retail Ltd has officially announced the PMS price at the Port Harcourt refinery as ₦1,030 per litre.
“It was also communicated to PETROAN that the product request portal was open for booking/request.”
Obele further told PulseNets that PETROAN’s strategic pricing team is currently evaluating the best pricing options for its members. He said:
“We are open to patronizing all the refineries in Nigeria.”
Meanwhile, the association has urged the NNPCL to consider further price reductions to ensure Nigerians can enjoy a cheerful Yuletide season.

PulseNets reported that this announcement comes amidst weeks of speculation regarding the price of petrol from the Port Harcourt Refinery. It should be recalled that the refinery officially commenced operations and the truck-out of petroleum products on Tuesday.
