HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Compliments of the season to you and yours!
Due to the extended holiday occasioned by the on-going voters registration, you may get this letter a bit late. It is simply to wish you well and invoke God’s blessings upon you.
Today, you have been selected from among your colleagues as the Senior Prefect of your school. No doubt it is due to some merit that your teachers certainly discovered in your character. You are therefore saddled with the responsibility of directing and guiding your fellow students.
Usually, in the month of January, people talk a lot about the need for “New Year Resolution.” Indeed, this is very germane in the life of those still growing up. In your own case, I urge you to also resolve to be a good Anambrarion at all times and to look at the future of the State with the aim of how you will eventually contribute to her growth and development.
As you settle down for the new term, I wish you and your school well in all your endeavour as l assure you that we will continue to discharge our responsibilities to the State the best way we can, which includes seeing that our educational institutions are restored to their former glory,
Thank you and may God continue to bless you
PETER OBI
Governor, Anambra State
