Three migrants stowed away on a ship arriving in the Canary Islands from Nigeria were recovered by the Spanish coastguard.
On Monday, the coastguard shared a photograph of the trio on Twitter.
They can be seen perched on the rudder of the Althini II, an oil and chemical tanker.
According to Marine Traffic, the vessel arrived in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, after an 11-day journey from Lagos.
The officials acknowledged that the migrants were brought into the harbour and treated by medical personnel.
The Canary Islands are a well-known transit point for African migrants attempting to reach Europe.
