President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared that his administration remains resolute in crushing banditry and ensuring that Nigeria overcomes all forms of insecurity across the country.

The President made this known while addressing dignitaries at a reception following the official inauguration of the Gateway International Airport, two state-owned aircraft under Gateway Air, the Gateway Aviation Housing Scheme, Iperu Remo, the Ilishan-Airport Road, and other critical infrastructure projects in Ogun State.

“We will win banditry and defeat insecurity. We will continue to invest more to strengthen the security architecture of Nigeria to intensify our fight against banditry and overcome insecurity”, the president stated.

According to details obtained by PulseNets, the President emphasized that the newly commissioned Gateway International Airport serves as a strategic economic hub within Nigeria’s aviation corridor, with the capacity to drive growth not only in the aviation sector but also in broader socioeconomic development across Ogun State and the nation.

He expressed satisfaction that Dapo Abiodun is effectively channeling increased federal allocations into industrial expansion and infrastructure development, positioning the state for significant economic advancement.

The President further commended the governor’s commitment, vision, and patriotism, noting that such leadership is critical to Nigeria’s long-term economic transformation.

PulseNets learnt that Tinubu reiterated that his administration’s infrastructure and investment drive is fundamentally people-focused, stressing that the current sacrifices by citizens are necessary steps toward achieving a more prosperous future.

He also maintained that ongoing reforms introduced by his government have shielded Nigeria from deeper economic distress caused by years of mismanagement and maladministration.

Speaking on the airport project, the President revealed that it is independently powered through major investments in gas infrastructure, underscoring the administration’s push toward sustainable and reliable energy systems.

“Today, we also virtually commissioned several projects. This airport project is integrated with independent investments in gas and energy, alongside other initiatives designed to impact every level of society.

Strengthening security infrastructure reinforces our resolve to protect lives and property. We will overcome violence and terrorism.

“I assure you that we will continue to make progress. Nigeria is determined to be great, and we are firmly on the path to achieving that greatness once again”, Tinubu stated.
