Wike vs Military Officer: Tinubu Urges Nigerians to Support Military Heroes Defending the Nation’s Sovereignty
President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed that the men and women of Nigeria’s Armed Forces deserve unwavering support and encouragement from all Nigerians in recognition of their selfless service to the nation.
He made this known on Wednesday during the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) Conference held in Abuja, where he commended the gallant officers and other security operatives for their relentless efforts in safeguarding lives and defending the country’s sovereignty.
According to information obtained by PulseNets, the President praised the Nigerian military for their courage and endurance in confronting the multiple security challenges confronting the country.

While addressing editors, Tinubu reportedly questioned Nigerians’ level of moral and emotional support for the armed forces, urging collective action in boosting their morale and motivation.
“Yes, we are challenged by terrorism, banditry, and other forms of insecurity. We recognise that,” the President stated.
“But are we doing something about it? Are we inspiring the armed forces? Are we encouraging them to fight? They put their lives on the line every day to defend the sovereignty of this country — it is our shared responsibility.”
PulseNets learnt that Tinubu’s remarks were part of his administration’s broader effort to restore public confidence in the nation’s security institutions and strengthen cooperation between citizens and security operatives.
