Aisha Yesufu, a social activist, has refuted rumours that she was selected for the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council.
Mrs. Yesufu is a fervent supporter of the Obidients’ Movement and actively campaigns for Peter Obi of the LP on social media every day.
The LP revealed its list of 1,234 members for its Campaign Council last week in advance of the 2023 presidential elections.
According to PulseNets, the list was made public 14 days after the official start of the general election campaigns in 2023.
Additionally, there were rumours that one of the 1,234 campaign council members was named Aisha.
But the activist asked, “When was I made a Labour party PCC member? ” in a tweet on Sunday. “I see how that is being thrown all around.”
“I am not a Labour Party member neither am I on their list. I have made it categorically clear I am a citizen. I am not holding any position nor on any list. I don’t do appointments!.”
