2023: I have no conflict with Buhari  — Tinubu declares

The All Progressives Congress’ (APC) presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has denied any rumours of tension in his friendship with President Muhammadu Buhari, reiterating his unwavering and steadfast support for the leader.

This was said by Tinubu on Saturday as he was speaking at an APC rally in Gusau, the capital of Zamfara State.

The former governor of Lagos State also pledged to address state-wide issues and raise agricultural output.

The people of Zamfara State and important party figures received a warm welcome, and Tinubu commended them for continuing to support the APC.

He said, “I have supported President Buhari even before his first day in office. I will continue to be his supporter and friend after his last day in office.

“He tackled the problems other leaders ran from. He has earned a place in history that cannot be denied.

“I have said this before and will say it again now: when the true history of this moment is written, President Buhari shall be treated very kindly because of his contributions to the nation.”

In addition, Tinubu affirmed that Buhari and Governor Bello Matawalle had been working hard to put a stop to the banditry issue and promised to build on the progress made.

He added, “My security plan will empower all branches of security forces. We’ll use modern air and ground technology to trace and capture these criminals.”
