Obiageli Ezekwesili, a former minister of education, has declared that the next presidential election is a struggle for Nigeria’s soul.
On Friday, Ezekwesili posted the declaration on her verified Twitter account.
She said that people who love power for its own sake and for the pursuit of wealth feel that the nation’s current level of darkness is insufficient and that they want it to become more darker.
She wrote, “You all should better know that the 2023 presidential elections, in particular, is a “Battle for the Soul of Nigeria”.
“The darkness over our Land is not yet enough for those “who love Power for the sake of Power and acquisitions”, so they want to darken it more.
“Will you allow them?”
