Alhassan Ado-Doguwa, a representative in the House of Representatives, has threatened to deal with those who don’t support the All Progressives Congress, or APC, on election day.
The House majority leader is running for re-election to the chamber for a record-breaking seventh time.
He is the federal representative for Kano State’s Doguwa/Tudun-Wada constituency.
Doguwa allegedly made the threat at a political rally in Kano, according to a video that The Daily Nigerian claimed to have obtained on Monday.
The report claims that Doguwa primarily spoke in Hausa and threatened potential voters with foul language.
“To God who made me, on election day, you must vote for APC or we deal with you.
“I’m saying it again: on election day you either vote for APC, or we deal with you.
“Repeat after me, in Doguwa you either vote for APC or we deal with you,” he said amidst a chorus of applause from the audience,” he said.
