World’s greatest footballer: Ronaldinho gives honest verdict on Messi, names two players

Champions League: Lionel Messi advises PSG on how to win trophy this season

Ronaldinho, the Brazilian and Barcelona legend, has shared his thoughts on Paris Saint-Germain’s Lionel Messi being regarded as the Greatest Of All Time (GOAT).

Ronaldinho refused to name Messi, his former Barcelona teammate, as the greatest footballer of all time.

Messi’s career is winding down as he approaches the end of his 35th year.

However, the Argentine captain remains one of the best footballers in the world right now.

During his 21-year tenure with Barcelona, Messi won 35 trophies. He has already won two titles with PSG.

Messi has yet to win the FIFA World Cup, but last year, when he led Argentina to Copa America victory, he finally achieved his dream of winning a trophy with his country.

Ronaldinho, who added that it would be tough to choose just Messi, mentioned football greats Pele and Diego Maradona and emphasized that there were many players who were the best in their respective decades.

Ronaldinho told Eleven Sports: “It is difficult to say [only Messi], there are so many players.

“I don’t like to compare. You had Pele, Maradona, there were so many. Every one of them was the best in their own time.”
