Lionel Messi, the captain of Argentina, responded to his team’s victory over Jamaica in a friendly match.
In the early hours of today, Argentina trounced Jamaica 3-0 in a friendly match played in the United States.
Argentina defeated Jamaica at the Red Bull Arena thanks to goals from Julian Alvarez and Lionel Messi, who also scored twice.
In response, Messi wrote on his Instagram page that the most recent victory gave the Argentina national team a lot of optimism going into the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in November.
Messi wrote: “We bid farewell to the United States with another triumph and with much hope.”
The United Arab Emirates will be Argentina’s next friendly opponent on November 16.
At the World Cup, Argentina is in Group C with Mexico, Poland, and Saudi Arabia.
