Demand from South East for President is ethically right and timely — PDP

Ondo PDP Chairman Confirmed dead

The South East’s demand for a President from the region in 2023, according to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is both morally correct and appropriate.

This was said in a statement made in Awka by Mr. Chukwubuikem Uloka, deputy director of media and publicity for the PDP Presidential Campaign Management Committee.

“It is comprehensible that the Southeast is demanding a president from the region in 2023; we all agree that such demand is morally right and timely,” he said.

Although there was an increasing sentiment in favour of the President from the Southeast geopolitical zone, the PDP press secretary claimed that Atiku/Okowa had a better chance of winning because of the national spread and acceptability.

However, he urged voters in the South East geographical zone to back the ticket of Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Uloka claimed that the ticket was the greatest deal for the South East in the election of February 2023 since it had a strong advantage over the opposition.

Among all political parties, he claimed that the PDP’s platform offered the best guarantees for equality, restructuring, improved economic policies, and national cohesion.

“It is important that we remind ourselves that what is important to the Southeast having our region reconnected to the national political and economic grid is through genuine reconciliation, forging strategic alliances with other regions.

“The Atiku/Okowa presidential campaign management committee, led by Professor Obiora Okonkwo, is optimistic that the victory of the PDP ticket is the shortest route for an Igbo presidency,” he stated.
