2023: INEC fixes trial voter accreditation in Osun

INEC Warns of Violence Ahead of Bayelsa, Imo, Kogi Governorship Elections

In the three senatorial districts of Osun State, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared that it would conduct mock accreditation of eligible voters.

The Osun INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Mutiu Agboke, made the news via a press release on Monday in Osogbo, stating that the mock accreditation procedure will take place on Saturday, February 4, 2023.

“This is to inform the general public that the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC in preparation for a hitch free 2023 general election in Osun State will be conducting Mock Accreditation of eligible voters on Saturday 4 February, 2023 in six (6) Local Government Areas of the State, two (2) Registration Areas/Wards across the Three (3) Senatorial Districts,” he said.

The exercise will allow the commission to evaluate the effectiveness of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) before to the general elections, Agboke further said.

He urged voters to go get their PVCs while reassuring them that their votes will count in the general elections in 2023 and that they would choose the winner.

Additionally, Agboke reaffirmed that the general elections in 2023 will not be cancelled or delayed.
