Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje’s alleged audio conversation with Ibrahim Masari, a former placeholder vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has emerged.
According to Daily Trust, Ganduje was heard in the audio lamenting why the President-elect, Bola Tinubu would meet the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Rabiu Kwankwaso despite their differences.
PulseNets reports that Tinubu and Kwankwaso had during the week, met for four hours in France, discussing how the former Kano Governor may join the ruling party.
The development had triggered reactions across the country as some members of the APC faulted Tinubu’s move.
In the alleged leaked audio, Ganduje was heard lamenting being treated unfairly by Tinubu by having a meeting with Kwankwaso, saying the President-elect should have at least informed him.
Governor Ganduje had started the conversation by revealing that there was noise all over Kano over the meeting between the two political leaders.
The governor said, “Now he (Tinubu) is seeing Kwankwaso as an alternative to us? No problem. Because we don’t have a government? And it’s even because of him (Tinubu) we lost the government in any way.
“Even if he will see him (Kwankwaso), he ought to have called us too. Or don’t you understand, even if symbolically.”
