Vacation allowance: N2million too small for senators — PDP chieftain
A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), David O. Aderinokun, has aired his view on the vacation allowance sent to senators.

Via Twitter on Tuesday, August 15, Aderinokun opined that N2 million is too small for a Nigerian senator because, according to him, it cannot be used to do much.

The PDP politician wondered by Nigerians are reacting to the news, questioning why it is spoken of as a big deal.

However, Aderinokun stated that it is insensitive on the part of the Senate to announce the allowance when there is so much economic hardship in the country.

He tweeted:

“The N2 million that was given to senators isn’t a big deal. It is even too small for a senator. What can a family man do with N2 million ($2k)? Why are we making it a big deal?

“But they shouldn’t have made it public. Making it public is a bit insensitive to the plight of Nigerians.”
