Jonah Daumieye, purportedly the Special Assistant to the Deputy Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Great Joshua Maciver, has been apprehended in connection with the possession of arms and ammunition.
The arrest unfolded in a dramatic manner, culminating in Daumieye being stripped naked. Maciver is the running mate of Chief Timipre Sylva of the APC in the Bayelsa Gubernatorial election.
