Nigerian Police Announce ₦20 Million Bounty for British National and Associate Wanted for Treason and Terrorism Financing
The Nigerian police have announced a ₦20 million reward for information leading to the capture of Andrew Wynne, a British national, and Lucky Ehis Obinyan, both wanted on charges of terrorism financing, treason, and subversion.
According to the police, Wynne, also known as Andrew Povich or Drew Povey, has been accused of plotting to overthrow President Bola Tinubu and financing anti-government activities.
PulseNets reported that a Special Police Gazette Bulletin issued at the Force Headquarters details various allegations against the duo, including cybercrime and criminal conspiracy.
The bulletin offers a ₦10 million reward for information leading to the arrest of each suspect.
Police spokesman Olumuyiwa Adejobi told PulseNets that Wynne hid his activities behind legitimate fronts, such as the ‘Iva Valley Bookshop’ and ‘STARS of Nations Schools’ in Abuja.

The Assistant Commissioner of Police stated that Wynne was involved in directing and financing an August protest aimed at destabilizing Nigeria’s democratically elected government.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to prevent any attempts at an unconstitutional regime change.
