Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, has raised serious concerns over what he describes as persistent interference from some members of his family, alleging that their actions played a major role in the collapse of his marriage to Annie Idibia. He further lamented that the same pattern is now threatening his relationship with his current partner, Natasha.

In a deeply emotional video circulating online, the award-winning artiste said the issue has “gone far beyond normal family disagreements”, adding that Natasha has allegedly begun receiving death threats as tensions worsen. PulseNets learnt that the singer appeared visibly distressed in the footage as he recounted how prolonged meddling and misinformation had destabilised his home.

According to him, his family “destroyed my marriage with Annie through constant interference, false narratives, and internal conflicts.” He insisted that the ongoing behaviour mirrors what happened in the past, warning that Natasha is now the latest target of unrest.

2Baba, however, clarified that he is mentally fit and fully capable of making decisions concerning his life. He dismissed what he described as attempts by some relatives to paint him as unstable, stressing that such claims were only fueling more chaos.

Expressing his frustration, he said those claiming to be protecting him are the very ones “causing pain, endangering Natasha, and escalating everything to a dangerous point.” He appealed to the public—and particularly to his family members—to end the harassment, stop circulating unverified claims, and allow him to live without constant intrusion.

The singer also hinted that he will disclose additional details soon but maintained that he could no longer stay silent as the crisis continues to intensify.
